Understanding the problem
The concept originated during Melbourne’s lockdown, a time when prolonged home isolation was necessary. I frequently resorted to ordering take-out, yet often found the food lacked authenticity. Many people, myself included, tended to stick with familiar dishes, hesitant to try unknown cuisines due to unfamiliarity with their flavors.
The turning point came when a friend and I stumbled upon an article about home kitchens, sparking an innovative idea. We envisioned an app where home cooks could live stream their cooking process, share their favorite recipes, and earn an income from home. This platform would allow customers to not only order genuine, home-cooked meals but also gain culinary insights through these live cooking sessions. Motivated by this idea, I embarked on a journey to design and develop this concept into a practical case study after thorough research.

Kitchens can keep customers engaged with Live

Every element
made with love
Every cook is verified by one of the team members and goes through a multi-step vetting process, which includes: a face-to-face interview, in-home inspection, live cooking demonstration and taste test of sample dishes.
Every kitchen must register with local councils and provide mandatory documents to be approved to register. The different badges will be given to each kitchen which was examined by us, the better the safer.
